6 Day Tour of Gallipoli, Troy, Ephesus, Pamukkale and Cappadocia

 
Day 1 - Istanbul to Gallipoli ( )


We will pick you up from your hotel early morning in Ä°stanbul then depart for afternoon tour of Gallipoli. Arrive in Gallipoli, we will have lunch at a nice local restaurant then we will visit the World War I battlefields of Gallipoli are now a serene site. Visit the Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove, Johnston's Jolly. Overnight Canakkale or Eceabat.
 
 Day 2 - Troy to Kusadası ( )
 
After breakfast at your hotel then we will pick you up from your hotel to visit the ancient city of Troy, famous for the legendary Trojan horse from the times of Beautiful Helen, Queen of Sparta, and Paris, the Trojan Prince. After our morning Troy Tour, we will drive back to Canakkale where you will board a local bus to Kusadası.
Arrive Kusadasi or Selcuk. One of our staff will meet on arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Kusadası.


Day 3 - Ephesus Tour  ( B / L )

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel and a short scenic drive, visit to the House of Virgin Mary where she is supposed to spend her last years together with St. John in the vicinity of Ephesus; Then to Ephesus, the best-preserved ancient city in Turkey and the place to get a feel for what life was like in Roman times, famous for its Celsius library, great theatre, marble streets, temples, and baths. It's situated in the fertile Ionian landscape and has been known throughout history for its temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Ephesus is one of the most extensive archeological sites in the world. After lunch in the town of Selcuk visit to St. John’s Basilica and Ephesus Museum. Then drive back to hotel and overnight in Kusadası.

 
Day 4 - Pamukkale Tour ( B / L )

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel. Then driven to Pamukkale which is the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain slope. It is for its resemblance to cotton piles that it is called "Cotton Castle" in Turkish. Visit the travertines and the Ancient City of Hierapolis which has the biggest Nekropol with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. There shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins which lie beneath.

At the end of the tour, you will take a night bus to Cappadocia which will take almost nine hours by comfortable, airconditioned, non-smoking buses.


Day 5- Cappadocia ( L )

Arrive in Goreme, one of our staff will meet you at the bus station and transfer to your cave hotel which is really special in Cappadocia area. You will be picked up to join our full day guided North cappadocia Tour with Lunch.

In the morning, meeting with the lunar landscape of  Cappadocia, we will start our tour from Uchisar.

Uchisar, a photo stop nearby the Uchisar castle and introduction of volcanic area. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of fairy chimneys.

Göreme Open Air Museum,where you will see several churches carved out by Orthodox monks. There are over ten cave churches in the Goreme Open Air Museum. Along with rectories, dwellings, and a religious school, they form a large monastic complex carved out of a roughly ring-shaped rock formation in the otherworldly landscape of Cappadocia. The churches are famous for their wall-paintings which are quite well preserved.

ÇavuÅŸin village and its cave church. It is the oldest one in the area dating back to the 5th century. It is famous for its rock-cut dwellings and Stone houses,

Avanos, center of terra cotta work of art since 3000 BC, a small town known for its ceramics. You will see the production of earthenware pottery in Avanos.

Lunch at a nice local restaurant that serves delicious tradational meals.

PaÅŸabaÄŸ, three coned fairy chimneys where the voice of wind mixes with the songs of fairies. highly remarkable earth pillars can be seen here, in the middle of a wineyard, hence the name of the place which means, the Pasha’s wineyard. The area is called Monk’s valley too. You can see a type of fairy-chimney with multiple caps and stems situated in the middle of vineyards.

Devrent Valley, The lunar landscape! Devrent Valley hides many different rock formations within. The little fairy chimneys in the valley form a lunar landscape or moonscape with their beautiful appearance. It has many animal shaped rocks.

At the end of the tour we will take you back to your cave hotel. Overnight in Goreme.

 

Day 6- South Cappadocia Tour ( B / L 

After breakfast at your hotel then we will pick you up from your hotel to join our full day guided  South Cappadocia Tour with lunch.

In the morning, meeting with the lunar landscape of Cappadocia, first you will stop at Göreme Panorama, where the guide will give you information about the area and you can take pictures of the Goreme Valley. 

Derinkuyu Underground City, a complex of joint caves built by the Christians to hide from possible attacks.It has over one hundred tunnels under the ground. It is approximately 85m deep which is the biggest of its kind. It  has 16 floors, 8 of them  can be visited today.  

Ihlara Valley, walk in mysterious Ihlara Canyon, enjoy an easy hike through part of the valley along Melendiz River canyon. You can see many Roman churches, chapels, monastries and hermits’ caves. The breathtakinghly beautiful Ihlara Valley amazes visitors who see it for the first time.

Selime Castle, has a great view looking down the valley. The complexes were carved into volcanic rock outcroppings during the Byzantine period. 

Pegion Valley, thousands of pegion houses carved into the rocks. 

At the end of the tour we will transfer you to Kayseri Airport for a flight to Istanbul, arrive in Istanbul then one of our staff will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
