8 Day Tour- Istanbul- Cappadocia- Pamukkale- Ephesus

 

Day 1- Istanbul

Welcome to Istanbul! One of our staff will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Istanbul.

It will be your free day to discover the ancient city, absorb the history. Overnight in Istanbul.

 

Day 2- Istanbul  ( B / L )

 

We pick you up from your hotel in the morning then we begin our tour from the Sultanahmet region, the heart of Old City Istanbul where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled.  

Ayasofya, one of the marvels of the world architecture, built by Emperor Justinian in the early 6th century AD. Its massive dome still dominates the skyline of Istanbul.

Blue Mosque, takes its name from the exquisite tiles adorning its interior. Built by Sultan Ahmet I between the years 1609 and 1616.

Hippodrome, centre of sportive events and political activities of the old city. The Serpentine Column, German Fountain of Wilhelm II, The Obelisk of Theodosius and The German Fountain are the monuments decorating the Hippodrome.

Lunch at a nice local restaurant that serves delicious meals.

Grand Bazaar, was the commercial heart of the old city Istanbul and its 4000 shops are full of treasures including carpets, antiques, leather, icons, ceramics and jewellery.

Topkapı Palace, the great palace was the principal residence of the Ottoman Sultans for nearly 400 years. 

Süleymaniye Mosque, is the largest and grandest of Istanbul's imperial mosques.

At the end of the tour we will transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. 

 

Day 3- Istanbul -Half Day Bosphorus Tour ( B )

 

Breakfast at your hotel then we pick you up from your hotel and you will join to our half day Bosphorus Tour, begin with a brief visit to the 17 th century Spice Bazaar, one of Istanbul's most colorful and bustling attractions.

Golden Horn, the arm of the Bosphorus and a natural harbour of the historical peninsula.

Next we take an unforgettable cruise along the Bosphorus Cruise, through the waterway seperating the two continents, Europe and Asia, with a possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residentials and luxurious apartments.

Rumeli Fortress, (from the road -no interior visit) historical armament built by the Conqueror to control and protect the Bosphorus.

At the end of the tour we take you back to your hotel, free afternoon to discover more things in Istanbul and Overnight in Istanbul.

 

Day 4: North Cappadocia   ( B / L)


Early morning we will pick you up from your hotel and  transfer to airport for a flight to Cappdocia, after  arrival Cappadocia depart for a full day, guided tour of Northern Cappadocia, we will visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, Devrent Valley, Avanos, Pasabag, Cavusin  village, Urgup's Fairy Chimneys. At the same time do  not forget to taste a delicious pottery kebap and home made Cappadocia wine in  here. End of the tour transfer back to your hotel and stay at a Cave hotel in  Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia.


 
Day 5: South Cappadocia  ( B / L )

 
After breakfast, we will pick up from the hotel at  about 9:30 am  and a full day guided tour of Southern Cappadocia will start with Piegon valley see thousands  of pegion houses in here, Underground city ( Kaymakli  or  Derinkuyu ) and discover hundre different tunnels  in this ancient underground city. Selime Village see  the complexes carved into volcanic rocks, Ihlara Valley, the best valley of  Cappadocia area. End of  the  tour you will take a night bus to  Pamukkale which will take almost nine hours.

 

Day 6: Pamukkale Tour ( B / L )

 

Arrive in Pamukkale, transfer to your hotel. You will be picked up from the hotel. Then driven to Pamukkale which is the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain slope. It is for its resemblance to cotton piles that it is called "Cotton Castle" in Turkish. Visit the travertines and the Ancient City of Hierapolis which has the biggest Nekropol with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. There shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient Roman ruins which lie beneath.

At the end of the tour, you will take a bus to Kusadası or Selcuk which will take almost three hours by comfortable, airconditioned, non-smoking buses. Arrive in Kusadası or Selcuk, Check in to your hotel and Overnight in Kusadası or Selcuk.

 

Day 7: Ephesus Tour  ( B / L )

 

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel and a short scenic drive, visit to the House of Virgin Mary where she is supposed to spend her last years together with St. John in the vicinity of Ephesus; Then to Ephesus, the best-preserved ancient city in Turkey and the place to get a feel for what life was like in Roman times, famous for its Celsius library, great theatre, marble streets, temples, and baths. It's situated in the fertile Ionian landscape and has been known throughout history for its temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Ephesus is one of the most extensive archeological sites in the world. After lunch in the town of Selcuk visit to St. John’s Basilica and Ephesus Museum.

End of the tour we will transfer you to Izmir Airport for a flight to Ä°stanbul, arrival, transfer to your hotel and overnight in Ä°stanbul.

 

Day 8: Istanbul  ( B )  

 

Breakfast at your hotel then it is your free time till your flight time. We will transfer you to airport for your international flight.
