4 Day Tour- Cappadocia- Pamukkale- Ephesus

 

Day 1: North  Cappadocia   ( L ) 

 

Early morning we pick you up from your hotel in Istanbul at about 4 am, transfer to airport for a flight to Kayseri, arrive in Kayseri then transfer to your hotel. We pick you up early from your hotel and your full day guided tour of Northern Cappadocia begins. We visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, Devrent Valley, Avanos, Pasabag, Cavusin village and Urgup's fairy chimneys.  Don't forget to taste a delicious pottery kebab or local wine that was made from delicious grapes while  you are here. In evening we take you back to your hotel.

Overnight in Cappadocia

 

Day 2: South Cappadocia  ( B / L)

 

Breakfast at your hotel then pick you up at about 9:30 am and your full day  guided tour of southern Cappadocia begins at Pigeon Valley, where you see thousands of pigeon  houses lining the steep cliffs. On your visit to one of  the extraordinary underground cities (Kaymakli or Derinkuyu) you will discover hundreds of tunnels  going deep into the centre of the earth. At Selime  village you will be astonished by the beautiful  churches carved out of the volcanic rock, which  continue to the end of the Ihlara Valley, the most  beautiful valley in Cappadocia. At the end of the tour  you will take night bus to Pamukkale which will take almost nine hours.

 

Day 3: Pamukkale Tour ( L )
 

Arrive in Pamukkale in the morning, transfer to your hotel. you will be picked up from the hotel then driven to Pamukkale which is the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain slope. It is for its resemblance to cotton piles that it is called "Cotton Castle" in Turkish. Visit the travertines and the Ancient City of Hierapolis which has the biggest Nekropol with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. There shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient Roman ruins which lie beneath.

At the end of the tour, you will take a bus to Kusadası or Selcuk which will take almost three hours by comfortable, airconditioned, non-smoking buses.Arrive in Kusadası or Selcuk, transfer to your hotel and overnight in Kusadası or Selcuk.

 

Day 4: Ephesus Tour  ( B / L )

 

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel and a short scenic drive, visit to the House of Virgin Mary where she is supposed to spend her last years together with St. John in the vicinity of Ephesus; Then to Ephesus, the best-preserved ancient city in Turkey and the place to get a feel for what life was like in Roman times, famous for its Celsius library, great theatre, marble streets, temples, and baths. It's situated in the fertile Ionian landscape and has been known throughout history for its temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Ephesus is one of the most extensive archeological sites in the world. After lunch in the town of Selcuk visit to St. John’s Basilica and Ephesus Museum.

End of the tour we will transfer you to Izmir Airport for a flight to Istanbul, arrival, transfer to your hotel and overnight in Ä°stanbul.
