6 Day Istanbul and Cappadocia Tour

 

Day 1- Istanbul

 

Welcome to Istanbul! One of our staff will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Istanbul.

It will be your free day to discover the ancient city, absorb the history. Overnight in Istanbul.

 

Day 2- Istanbul  ( B / L ) 

 

We pick you up from your hotel in the morning then we begin our tour from the Sultanahmet region, the heart of Old City Istanbul where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled.  

Ayasofya, one of the marvels of the world architecture, built by Emperor Justinian in the early 6th century AD. Its massive dome still dominates the skyline of Istanbul.

Blue Mosque, takes its name from the exquisite tiles adorning its interior. Built by Sultan Ahmet I between the years 1609 and 1616.

Hippodrome, centre of sportive events and political activities of the old city. The Serpentine Column, German Fountain of Wilhelm II, The Obelisk of Theodosius and The German Fountain are the monuments decorating the Hippodrome.Lunch at a nice local restaurant that serves delicious meals.

Grand Bazaar, was the commercial heart of the old city Istanbul and its 4000 shops are full of treasures including carpets, antiques, leather, icons, ceramics and jewellery.

Topkapı Palace, the great palace was the principal residence of the Ottoman Sultans for nearly 400 years. 

Süleymaniye Mosque, is the largest and grandest of Istanbul's imperial mosques.

At the end of the tour we will transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. 

 

Day 3- Istanbul ( B / L )

 

Breakfast at your hotel then we pick you up from your hotel and begin with a brief visit to the 17 th century Spice Bazaar, one of Istanbul's most colorful and bustling attractions.

Golden Horn, the arm of the Bosphorus and a natural harbour of the historical peninsula.

Next we take an unforgettable cruise along the Bosphorus Cruise, through the waterway seperating the two continents, Europe and Asia, with a possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residentials and luxurious apartments.

Rumeli Fortress, (from the road -no interior visit) historical armament built by the Conqueror to control and protect the Bosphorus.

Dolmabahçe Palace, recent residence for Ottoman Sultans, built on a 110.000 square metres area and served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire, famous for its great collection of European antiquity, furniture and 4,5 tons chandelier, the palace has 285 rooms,46 halls, 6 baths and 68 toilets.

Bosphorus Bridge, a unique chance to step from one continent to another in 2 minutes.

Camlıca Hill, exposing a panoramic view of Istabul and Bosphorus from the best point of the view.

At the end of the tour we take you back to your hotel and Overnight in Istanbul.

 

Day 4- Istanbul to Cappadocia   ( L )

 

We will pick you up from your hotel, transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Kayseri, arrive in Kayseri then one of our staff will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Cappadocia, check in to your cave hotel which is really special for the area. You will be picked up to join our full day guided Northern Cappadocia tour with lunch.

In the morning, meeting with the lunar landscape of  Cappadocia, we will start our tour from Uchisar.

Uchisar, a photo stop nearby the Uchisar castle and introduction of volcanic area. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of fairy chimneys.

Göreme Open Air Museum, you will see several churches carved out by Orthodox monks. There are over ten cave churches in the Goreme Open Air Museum. Along with rectories, dwellings, and a religious school, they form a large monastic complex carved out of a roughly ring-shaped rock formation in the otherworldly landscape of Cappadocia. The churches are famous for their wall-paintings which are quite well preserved.

ÇavuÅŸin village and its cave church. It is the oldest one in the area dating back to the 5th century. It is famous for its rock-cut dwellings and Stone houses,

Avanos, center of terra cotta work of art since 3000 BC, a small town known for its ceramics. You will see the production of earthenware pottery in Avanos.

Lunch at a nice local restaurant that serves delicious tradational meals.

 PaÅŸabaÄŸ, three coned fairy chimneys where the voice of wind mixes with the songs of fairies. highly remarkable earth pillars can be seen here, in the middle of a wineyard, hence the name of the place which means, the Pasha’s wineyard. The area is called Monk’s valley too. You can see a type of fairy-chimney with multiple caps and stems situated in the middle of vineyards.

 Devrent Valley, The lunar landscape! Devrent Valley hides many different rock formations within. The little fairy chimneys in the valley form a lunar landscape or moonscape with their beautiful appearance. It has many animal shaped rocks.

At the end of the tour we will take you back to your cave hotel. Overnight in Goreme.

 

Day 5- South Cappadocia Tour (B / L

 

After breakfast at your hotel then we will pick you up from your hotel to join our full day guided  South Cappadocia Tour with lunch.

In the morning, meeting with the lunar landscape of Cappadocia, first you will stop at Göreme Panorama, where the guide will give you information about the area and you can take pictures of the Goreme Valley. 

Derinkuyu Underground City, a complex of joint caves built by the Christians to hide from possible attacks.It has over one hundred tunnels under the ground. It is approximately 85m deep which is the biggest of its kind. It  has 16 floors, 8 of them  can be visited today.  

Ihlara Valley, walk in mysterious Ihlara Canyon, enjoy an easy hike through part of the valley along Melendiz River canyon. You can see many Roman churches, chapels, monastries and hermits’ caves. The breathtakinghly beautiful Ihlara Valley amazes visitors who see it for the first time.

Selime Castle, has a great view looking down the valley. The complexes were carved into volcanic rock outcroppings during the Byzantine period. 

Pegion Valley, thousands of pegion houses carved into the rocks. 

At the end of the tour we will transfer you to Kayseri Airport for a flight to Istanbul, arrive in Istanbul then one of our staff will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Ä°stanbul.

  

Day 6: Istanbul  ( B )  

 

Breakfast at your hotel then it is your free time till your flight time. We will transfer you to airport for your international flight.

Our tour concludes in here then we say “ good bye, have a nice flight “to our new friends.
